Five Rock County 4-H’ers competed in the Minnesota State 4-H Western Heritage contest this summer in Pipestone.
The 4-H’ers competed in several events. The results included:
•Senior pen to pen, Joni Vander Beek and Kennedy Safer, seventh out of 25 teams.
•Intermediate pen to pen, Gavin Johnson and Cash Bonnett, fourth out of 13 teams.
•Senior round pen roping, Safer third out of eight.
•Senior goat tying, Ayden Bonnett, seventh out of 26 teams, Kennedy Safer, ninth.
Austin competes at state dog show in St. Paul
Rebecca Austin participated in the Minnesota State 4-H Dog Show Sept. 21-22 in St. Paul.
Austin’s ribbon placings included:
•Intermediate agility, red.
•Novice obedience, red.
•Agility jumpers, white.
