Kenneth community remembers loved ones

The tiny Kenneth community swelled to nearly 200 people Friday night for a tree lighting ceremony to honor and remember loved ones. This year has been emotionally hard on the Kenneth community with several residents passing away and with pandemic social distancing.

Megan Boyenga and her children are frequent visitors to The Lake in Luverne where they donated a bench on the beach in memory of their late husband and father, Anthony Boyenga, who died last summer in a drowning accident in Iowa.
