Suggest conducting cleanup at different time

To the Editor:
We have always taken pride in the many positive features of living in Luverne. We are grateful for the snow removal that is done so soon after a snowfall. In most instances the downtown businesses and homes are well maintained. Our parks are always neat and inviting for picnics, walking or just sitting for a while to relax. Residents are pleasant and friendly. “Minnesota nice” definitely lives  here.
Recently something that disturbed us was that spring cleanup was held on Easter weekend, when there is more than the usual traffic in our town. We are grateful for the privilege of a citywide cleanup, just wondered about the timing. Perhaps the city planners would consider a weekend other than Easter for next year’s citywide cleanup.
