Ohme: Volunteering benefits everyone

 
To the editor:
Studies show that generosity and volunteering benefit everyone both physically and psychologically, and we can all keep this in mind as the season approaches. 
The Rock County Salvation Army will begin its kettle campaign on Dec. 1 in the lobby at Glen's Food Center, and volunteer bell ringers are needed. Businesses, service organizations and youth or church groups can take advantage of this volunteer opportunity to support those in need in Rock County.

The Star Herald encourages letters to the editor expressing the opinions of readers and intends to print all letters. Letters not meeting the guidelines will not be printed. Letter writers in these cases will be contacted.  The Star Herald will not publish letters written with the sole intent to advertise or serve as a thank-you. Letters with more than 300 words may be edited.
