Minutes

November 23, 2020

The Hills-Beaver Creek School Board met for its semi-monthly meeting at 

7:01 p.m. in the H-BC Secondary School Media Center/via Zoom Mtg for Guest 

attendees – based on MN Statute 13D.021.

Board members present were Bosch, Gehrke, Knobloch, Rauk, Rozeboom and

Wysong. Superintendent Holthaus, Principal Kellenberger and Business Manager

Rozeboom were also in attendance. Board member LaRock was absent.

Motion by Bosch, second by Rozeboom, and carried to approve the agenda.

Visitor to the meeting was Mavis Fodness of the Star Herald.

PATRIOT PRIDE:

-FFA Food Drive

-Successful Parent Nights for Football and Volleyball

Motion by Wysong, second by Knobloch, and carried to approve Consent Agenda:

-Minutes 11/12/2020.

-Bills.

-Donation: Steen Reformed Church - $350.00, to be used for those in need

at the discretion of administration.

-Hills-Beaver Creek Teaching Staff Seniority List.

-Hills-Beaver Creek ECFE Staff Seniority List.

Motion by Rozeboom, second by Bosch, and carried to approve Hearing of the facts

regarding the request for Ron and Cheryl Hup’s application to abate district taxes

for the next five years beginning in 2021 as a part of the District’s Tax Abatement

program for new construction of homes.

Motion by Knobloch, second by Wysong, and carried to approve School District Tax

Abatement Request from Ron and Cheryl Hup for five years beginning with fiscal

year 2021 as a part of the District’s approved Tax Abatement program in relation to

new construction of homes in the district.
