June 22, 2020
The Hills-Beaver Creek School Board met for its semi-monthly meeting at 7:09 p.m.
in the H-BC Secondary School Media Center/via Zoom Mtg for Guest attendees –
based on MN Statute 13D.021.
Board members present were Bosch, Gehrke, Knobloch, LaRock, Rozeboom and
Wysong. Superintendent Holthaus, Principal Schilling, and Business Manager
Rozeboom were also in attendance. Board Member Rauk was absent.
Motion by LaRock, second by Wysong, and carried to approve the agenda.
Visitors to the meeting were Mavis Fodness (Rock County Star Herald) and Helen
Kraayenhof.
Motion by LaRock, second by Knobloch, and carried to approve minutes 6/8/2020.
Motion by Bosch, second by Wysong, and carried to approve bills.
Motion by LaRock, second by Bosch, and carried to approve District Fiscal Year
2021 Miscellaneous Pay Schedule.
Motion by Knobloch, second by Wysong, and carried to approve District Fiscal Year
2021 Fee Schedule.
Motion by Rozeboom, second by Bosch, and carried to approve Resolution for
School Board Candidate Filing for 2020 General Election.
Motion by LaRock, second by Rozeboom, and carried to approve Resolution for
District Membership in the Minnesota Rural Education Association for the 2020-2021
and 2021-2022 School Year.
Motion by Knobloch, second by LaRock, and carried to approve resolution for
District Membership in the MN School Boards Association for Fiscal Year 2021.
Motion by LaRock, second by Bosch, and carried to approve Teacher Development
and Evaluation Fund Transfer Resolution.
Motion by Wysong, second by Knobloch, and carried to approve 2020-2021 Milk bid
with escalator clause with Dean Foods and Bread bid with Pan O Gold through the
Avera Pace program.
Motion by Wysong, second by LaRock, and carried to approve District Insurance
Renewal for Property, General Liability w/terrorism, Auto, Commercial Crime,
Professional Liability, Abuse, Commercial Excess Liability, and Cyber for Fiscal
Year 2021.
PERSONNEL:
Motion by Knobloch, second by Bosch, and carried to approve hiring Jil Vaughn at
80% FTE Speech Language Teacher for the 2020-2021 School Year.
Motion by LaRock, second by Wysong, and carried to approve renewing Dalton
Bass as Building Grounds Transportation Director for the 2021 Fiscal Year.
Motion by LaRock, second by Knobloch, and carried to approve renewing Amanda
Rozeboom as Business Manager for Fiscal Year 2021 and Fiscal Year 2022.
