Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes 116.07, subd. 7(a), that Nick Bork, will be applying to Rock County and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for a permit to expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.

The feedlot proposed to be expanded is located in the NW 1/4 of Section 23 of Springwater Township, T103N, R46W, of Rock County, Minnesota.

The facility is currently permitted for 60 total animal units consisting of 100 head of finishing swine housed in total confinements and 300 head of sheep housed in a combination of open lots and a partial confinement barn.

The proposed expansion includes the following:

1. Construction of one total confinement barn with an under-floor concrete pit to

house 2400 head of finishing swine

2. Eliminate two total confinements that housed a total of 100 head of finishing  

swine

3. Reduce the number of sheep from 300 head to 50 head.

After the expansion, the feedlot will consist of 2,400 head of finishing swine and 50 head of sheep for a total of 725 AU.

All the solid manure will be stored in manure packs and all liquid manure will be stored in an under-floor concrete pit.

This publication shall constitute as a notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the expanding feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
