January 27, 2014
The Hills-Beaver Creek School Board met for its semimonthly meeting at 7:10 pm in the High School Conference Room.
Board members present were Baker, Fick, Fransman, Gehrke, Kueter, Leuthold and Moser. Superintendent Holthaus and Business Manager Kuehl were also in attendance.
Chairman Fransman called the meeting to order.
There were no visitors present at the meeting.
Motion by Moser, second by Kueter, and carried to approve the agenda with the addition of 6th grade basketball tournament.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as sent out.
Motion by Fick, second by Kueter, and carried to approve the bills.
Motion by Leuthold, second by Moser, and carried to approve the Student Accounts.
Motion by Gehrke, second by Baker, and carried to approve the donation of $1,000 from Fritz and Martha Nuffer for the Fritz and Martha Nuffer Scholarship Fund.
Motion by Fick, second by Leuthold, and carried to approve the 2014-15 school calendar as presented.
Motion by Leuthold, second by Baker, and carried to approve the lease agreement with the Tri-State Buffalos football team for football field rental.
Motion by Moser second by Gehrke, and carried to approve the superintendent to submit application to the MSHSL Foundation Form B/C to request $5,000 for Athletic/Activity Event Transportation.
Motion by Leuthold, second by Baker, and carried to approve the Revised Fiscal Year 2014 Expense and Revenue Budget.
Motion by Moser, second by Kueter, and carried to set a special meeting January 30, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. for approval of Statutory Operating Debt Plan for Fiscal Year 2013.

Sixth-grade Basketball Tournament
Mr. Holthaus presented the K-12 / Superintendent report.

The Hills-Beaver Creek School Board met for a special meeting at 7:00 pm in the High School Conference Room.
Board members present were Baker, Fick, Fransman, Gehrke, Kueter, Leuthold and Moser.
Superintendent Holthaus was also in attendance.
Chairman Fransman called the meeting to order.
There were no visitors present at the meeting.
Motion by Baker, second by Moser, and carried to approve the agenda.
Motion by Kueter second by Fick, and carried to approve the District’s Statutory Operating Debt Plan for Fiscal Year 2013 to be submitted to the Minnesota Department of Education per Statute.
The following members voted in favor: Moser, Fick, Kueter, Baker, Leuthold, Gehrke, Fransman.
Those voting against: None.
Meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
