H-BC's Van Maanen makes second state golf appearance

Hills-Beaver Creek’s Tess Van Maanen represented the Patriots at the Minnesota Class A State Golf Championships June 11 and 12.
The freshman competed against the state’s top Class A golfers at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker.
Van Maanen made her second appearance at the state golf meet after debuting as an eighth-grader last year.
 The two-day event includes two rounds of 18 holes combined for a total meet score.
Van Maanen carded identical scores of 101 each day for a meet total of 202, which tied for 50th place overall in girls’ Class A.
Rachel Halvorson of Lac Qui Parle Valley was the Class A girls’ medalist with a score of 160.
