Golf Course owner says facility operable for spring season

By Lexi MooreThe Beaver Lodge Banquet Hall continues to entertain guests and take bookings for the 2006 season, while the Beaver Creek Golf Course prepares to welcome golfers this spring.Dan Van Otterloo, a member of the group that owns the property, confirmed on Friday that he and his partners retain ownership of the 89-acre facility.Members of the Springbrook Development, Limited Liability Corporation, attempted to sell the facility and course in Beaver Creek during a hybrid auction in October.Owners did not accept offers made during the auction and decided to retain ownership and prepare for the 2006 season.Van Otterloo said the group has had several offers over the winter and will continue to meet with interested investors."If there is a sale, we are going to know that person," he continued. "As of yet, nothing attractive has come to the table."He said negotiations with investors will not affect operations at the facility this season.The Beaver Lodge continues to host events and is looking forward to serving guests at the Hills, Beaver Creek and Steen All-School Reunion.
