Why do I have to register for Star-Herald.com to read articles?
We’re asking the readers of Star-Herald.com to become registered for two reasons. We’d like to: Improve your experience on the site by offering content and features tailored to your interests. Viewing the paper online gives you access to content that our print subscribers do not have, a few examples include videos, slideshows and public polls.

I subscribe to the print edition can I access online content?
Print subscribers cannot access online content on Star-Herald.com. They can access and become members of our free online community MyStar-Herald.com. Print subscribers who would like to access online material, including the special content, can do so by adding an online subscription for only $10 more for the remainder of their current subscription. Email circulation@star-herald.com with your request. They will contact you regarding payment and help you set up a new online account.
What are the benefits of registering at Star-Herald.com?
Access everything on Star-Herald.com, including:
- Up-to-the-minute breaking news
- Sports news and features
- Photo galleries and audio slideshows
- Web video content

- E-mail alerts
- Ability to comment and create dialogue with other readers
I can't remember my password. What should I do?
If you already have a Star-Herald.com account you can retrieve your password by clicking on login (top left corner of the screen) and than selecting "Forgot your password." Enter either your username or the email address you used when signing up and a password reminder will be sent to your email account.
I'm a my Star Herald member. Do I have a Star-Herald.com membership already?
Good news! You are already a member, but to access the subscriber only site you need to purchase a subscription for only $0.74 a week. Click here to subscribe.
I have been an e-Edition subscriber, do I have access to the subscriber only portion of the site?
Yes, you are already a member. You can use the same login information you have been using to access the content on the paid area. Or you can go to the e-Edition page that you are use to viewing but using the link in the top right. We will no longer be renewing e-Edition members. When your subscription ends you will be prompted to renew with our new Star-Herald.com online site.
Where is the e-Edition?
Subscribers to our e-Edition can still access the format they are use to viewing by using the link in the upper right hand corner of the site. This will be available for a limited time.
Are the classified sections in Star Herald print edition and on Star-Herald.com the same?
Customers advertising in the Star Herald classified section get their ad placed online and in the print edition of the Star Herald and the Luverne Announcer, for an additional fee. However, online classified ads offer enhancement features such as boxes and photos. To place a classified ad in this week’s paper go here.
How can I find an article from the Star Herald?
Type in your search term. On the results page, you can use the links to the left-hand side to refine your search results by date, type, subject, or article section.
Our online archives go back 10 years. If you are looking for something older you are welcome to browse our complete archives at the Star Herald office in downtown Luverne.

I would like to read the Luverne Announcer online, it that possible?
The Luverne Announcer is published online every Friday. To download this week’s issue simply click on the red “Luverne Announcer” button at the top right of the page. You will need Acrobat Reader to view this file. If you do not have a version of Acrobat on your computer you can download one here.
I would like to advertise on Star-Herald.com, can I do that online?
