H-BC freshman Haley Leuthold was named the Hills-Beaver Creek High School “Patriot of the Week.”
Haley is proud to call herself a Patriot. “The teachers here are awesome. It is a small school where everyone cares about you, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else,” she said.
Haley has four siblings: Jesse, Kelsey, Kale and Taylor. Her parents are Dennis and Diane Leuthold.
After she graduates from high school, she would like to go to college to be a NICU nurse.
Leuthold participates in volleyball and track. “I love the people I play with and they’re like one big family to me. I like track because it is more of an individual sport.”
In her spare time she likes to hang out with her friends, spend time with her family, run and play volleyball.
Her favorite movie is “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” because “Liam Hensworth and Josh Hutchinson are in the movie.”
“The Divergent Series” is her favorite book series because “it catches your attention and they are very interesting to me.”
Some words that give her motivation to get through the day are: “Every day is a good day but some days you have to dig deeper to find the good.”
