The football season came to an end for the Adrian Dragons during the Section 3A championship game Friday at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.

Top-seeded Adrian scored late in the first half to match second-seeded Tracy-Milroy-Balaton’s six-point output after 24 minutes of play.

T-M-B, however, outscored the Dragons 29-8 in the second half to secure a 35-14 victory.

T-M-B opened a 20-6 lead 57 seconds into the fourth quarter only to have AHS trim the difference to six points (20-14) with 7:07 left to play.

The Panthers went on to score 15 unanswered points in the game’s final seven minutes to prevail by 21 points.
