Hills-Beaver Creek School Board members accepted a resignation from the district’s vocal music instructor during a special meeting on Monday night.
Jodi Ackerman was the vocal music instructor for students in grades kindergarten to twelfth grade. During recent years she also directed a junior high musical production.
Board chair Harley Fransman read from her letter of resignation.
“Hills-Beaver Creek has provided me with many positive opportunities to learn and grow, and for that I am thankful. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the students at each grade level.”
She also thanked the staff and administration.
Board member Ami Fick said, “She will be missed — she was very good with the kids.”
Superintendent Todd Holthaus said, “With her we are again losing some experience.”
Ackerman has been with the district for 15 years.
