The Hills-Beaver Creek track teams made their outdoor debut Thursday at the Luverne Invitational.
Competing in seven-team fields, the Patriot boys placed third with 88 points while the girls finished sixth with 33 points.
H-BC athletes won two meet titles and placed second in four events during the meet.
H-BC boys won the 400- and 800-meter relays with respective 46.59 and 1:36.83 efforts.
Dalton Bass, Dylan Gehrke, Dirk Thone and Tate Bork formed both teams.
Bass (36-7 ½ in the triple jump) and Justin Kerkhove-Brandt (2:12.82 in the 800) placed second individually for the Patriots.
The Patriot girls posted a pair of second-place finishes in the 400- and 3,200-meter relays with respective 57.19 and 11:06.86 times.
Haley Leuthold, Kayla Thone, Jenna Wilgenburg and Haley Van Wyhe ran the 400. Wilgenburg, Amanda Crawford, Thone and Van Wyhe teamed up in the 3,200.

Fifth place: Wagenaar, discus, 104-9; Ellingson and Gehrke tied for in the long jump with 16-7 1/5 efforts; 800 relay (Cooper Vaughn, Drew Forshey, Taubert and Ellingson), 1:46.07.
Sixth place: Thone, 400, 56.0.
Seventh place: Vis, shot, 36-0.
Eighth place: Bass, 100, 12.17; Jeff Nelson, shot, 34-9; Noah Holthaus, discus, 100-9.
Third place: 1,600 relay (Wilgenburg, Leuthold, Thone and Van Wyhe), 4:31.2.
Sixth place: Marissa Harsma, 100 hurdles, 20.25; Harsma, 300 hurdles, 58.21.
Seventh place: 800 relay (Tori Bork, Thea Richards, Crawford and Leuthold), 2:07.6.
Eighth place: Taylor Wingert, discus, 64-2; Crawford, 400, 1:16.15.
