Summer Baseball Traveling Team sign-up March 18
The Luverne Baseball Traveling Team sign-up and parent meeting for students in grades 3-6 interested in playing traveling baseball will begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, at Sharkee’s in Luverne with a burger meal, free for families who sign up for the program. The Luverne Baseball Association presentation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Coaches are also needed.
Quarter Craze Auction set for March 19
The Relay for Life Quarter Craze Auction fundraiser will be Tuesday, March 19, at the Blue Mound Banquet Center, 401 W. Hatting St., Luverne. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the auction starts at 6 p.m.

The monthly food ministry of New Life Celebration Church will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Luverne Senior Center. Fresh produce, bread and meat will be available. Children will be asked to wait outside.
Community Club’s Vendor/Craft Fair set for March 23
Choose from 40-plus vendors and crafters at the free Hills Community Club’s fourth annual Spring Vendor/Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, in the Hugo Goehle Gym at the old Hills-Beaver Creek High School in Hills.
Concessions will be available served by Bethlehem Lutheran youth as a fundraiser. At 11 a.m. visit the Easter Bunny and bring a camera.
Easter egg hunt in Magnolia March 23
The Magnolia Juniors 4-H Club will host its annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Magnolia City Park in Magnolia. Weather permitting, live animals will be on hand for petting. In case of inclement weather, an announcement will be made and the hunt will be postponed to Saturday, March 30.
Sanford Luverne to host spring blood drive March 25
Sanford Luverne and Community Blood Bank will host a blood drive from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 25, at Sanford Hospital, 1600 N. Kniss Ave., Luverne. The drive will benefit the blood supply of Sanford Luverne throughout spring.
Luverne Kindergarten Round-up set for April 18
Luverne Kindergarten Round-Up will be Thursday, April 18, at the Luverne Elementary School. Session 1 is geared toward new kindergarten parents and will begin at 5:30 p.m. Session 2 is an informal “meet and greet” time from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Children must be five years old before Sept. 1, 2013, in order to register for kindergarten. Appointments are required. The service is free for any private individual with a simple tax format. It’s not for commercial, farming or investment taxes.
