Thirty-third annual event draws hundreds, makes thousands for local music programs
The sights and sounds of a carnival filled the Luverne High School gym Saturday night as balloons, cotton candy, pizza, face painting, a cakewalk, bingo and countless games set the stage for the 33rd Annual Luverne Music Boosters Winter Carnival.
The event, run entirely on volunteer help and donated prizes, typically brings in more than $10,000, and Saturday appeared to be no exception.
Winter Carnival is one of the Luverne Music Boosters’ biggest fundraisers of the year, with proceeds supporting music programs in Luverne Public Schools.
