H-BC boys win third-straight game

The Hills-Beaver Creek boys’ basketball team registered its third-straight victory Monday in Ivanhoe.

Taking on Lincoln HI in a non-conference tilt, the Patriots outscored the Rebels in both halves of the game to prevail 67-40.

H-BC opened a 10-point lead (30-20) in the first 18 minutes of play before outscoring LH 37-20 in the second half to win by 27.

Carey Taubert led an H-BC squad that converted 52 percent of its field goals by netting 16 points.

Jeff Sandbulte (15 points, nine rebounds and three assists), Dylan Gehrke (15 points and seven rebounds) and Jon Gallagher (13 points and 13 rebounds) also turned in big nights for the Patriots.

The 8-9 Patriots shoot for their fourth-straight win Thursday at Edgerton Public School.
