Fulda girls ambush H-BC

The Hills-Beaver Creek girls slipped to 3-9 in Red Rock Conference basketball play when they lost a 72-42 game Friday in Fulda.

The home-standing Raiders exploded for 45 points in the first half to open a commanding 33-point (45-12) lead.

H-BC outscored Fulda 30-27 in the second stanza to make it a 30-point difference at game’s end.

“They shot the ball well in the first half and we just faced too big of a hole to climb out of after that,” said H-BC coach Jason Blosmo.

Haley Van Wyhe led the Patriots with 11 points in the game. Meghan Leuthold collected 10 rebounds and Paige Leuthold charted three assists.

H-BC plays in Westbrook Friday.
