Hills community rallies around Kaden, the ‘little fighter’

Susan and John Vanden Berg are pictured with their son, Kaden, in a newborn intensive care unit of the Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. Kaden was born there on Sept. 27 with several complications. He will remain a patient until he recovers from heart surgery scheduled for spring. His parents have not been back to their acreage near Hills since flying to Ann Arbor in September. On Feb. 9 the community is hosting an auction and silent auction to help raise funds for the family.
