The Hills-Beaver Creek girls’ basketball team wrapped up a stretch of playing four games in six days by taking on Southwest Christian Tuesday in Edgerton.
H-BC remained in contact with the Red Rock Conference-leading E-Gals early, trailing 18-13 with five minutes remaining in the first half.
SWC gained some separation by finishing the first half with a 17-6 run to sport a 35-19 lead at the break.
The E-Gals proceeded to outscore the Patriots 29-10 in the second half to secure a 64-29 win.
“We were playing our fourth game in six days, and the girls were tired,” said H-BC coach Jason Blosmo.
“The second half was a struggle for us. We just ran out of gas.”
Paige Leuthold led the Patriots with nine points in the game.
H-BC, 5-11 overall, hosts Red Rock Central Friday.
