The free Bank Nite movie, “Arthur Christmas,” will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Palace Theatre in Luverne.
Sponsored by First Farmers & Merchants Bank and Papik Motors, a free, family-friendly movie is shown on the first Thursday of every month as it was done for “Bank Nite” in the 1930s. Teams may sign up now for Luverne Community Education’s invitational basketball tournament on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, for fifth- and sixth-grade boys’ and girls’ teams. Pool play format is used with six courts available in one building. Students are guaranteed at least two games.
