City lots to be used for wind officials; work underway for grocery store, wind offices

Residents gathered in Hardwick Saturday on one of the last warm evenings of fall to watch as the Hardwick Fire Department used two vacant houses on the city’s northwest corner as a practice drill. The city-owned lots are being cleared to make way for a possible site of an operations and maintenance building for wind tower maintenance workers.
