Area sixth-graders traveled to Slayton the last week in September for an environmental fair. The group watched and participated in demonstrations about soil, water and environment problems that affect residents and farms in southwest Minnesota. Students from Hills-Beaver Creek traveled via charter bus to the fair, thanks to funds donated by the Rock County Land Management office.
