The Hills-Beaver Creek volleyball team recorded its second Red Rock Conference victory of the season Monday in Hills.
Squaring off against Fulda in a league match, the Patriots and Raiders split the first two sets of the night.
H-BC, however, outscored Fulda 50-38 to win the final two sets and secure a 3-1 victory.
“It was a nice win for us,” said H-BC coach Mary Jo Graphenteen.
“We were much more offensive in this match than we have been. We were able to get the ball to our setters and they were able to move it around for our hitters.”
H-BC posted a 25-19 win in the opening set before Fulda tied the match with a 25-22 victory in the second set.
The Patriots rolled to a 25-16 win in the third set before ending the night with a 25-22 victory in the finale.
Hattie Van Wyhe (nine kills, 12 digs and 22 of 23 serving with 14 points) and Paige Leuthold (31 set assists and 18 of 20 serving with nine points) turned in big performances for H-BC.
Meghan Leuthold and Haley Van Wyhe registered 19 and seven kills respectively, while Jessica Sandbulte (nine digs) and Kelly Esselink (13 of 14 serving with six points) also made key contributions to the winning effort.
