Friday night proved to be a good one for the three football teams from the
Star Herald coverage area as Luverne, Adrian and Hills-Beaver Creek all
registered road wins.
The Luverne Cardinals ran their record to 6-0 with a convincing victory in
Worthington.
Luverne opened a 20-6 lead in the first half and outscored the Trojans 26-0
in the second half to prevail 46-6.
One week after dropping its first game of the season, Adrian bounced back in
impressive fashion in Tracy.
The Dragons improved their record to 5-1 with a convincing 36-14 victory
over Tracy-Milroy-Balaton.
Hills-Beaver Creek remained unbeaten by posting a win in Brewster.
The Patriots opened a 32-0 halftime lead over Southwest United and used a 22-18 scoring edge in the second half to win 54-18 at game's end.
