Feb. 10

•Complainant requested we do a blood draw from a fatal accident that occurred in Nobles County.

•Complainant requested we arrest a subject for a probation violation. Subject was taken to jail.

•Dispatch received several 911 calls about a man on the interstate flagging people down. Deputy brought subject to the Minnesota rest area and cited him for driving without license. Subject’s brother is coming with a gas can and another valid driver to pick him up.

Feb. 11

•Deputy arrested subject for DWI. G&S towed and subject was taken to jail.

•Complainant requested a deputy while she gets her things, as there is an order for protection in place.

•Minnesota Highway Patrol reported a red Dodge pickup repeatedly going over the fog line on I-90 westbound east of Magnolia. Complainant reported the vehicle was coming toward Luverne.

Feb. 12

•Complainant reported suspicious activity at her neighbor’s. Dogs were barking and a car stopped and put something in the dumpster. Sent deputy to check it out.

•Complainant reported vandalism to a mailbox on 61st Street.

•Complainant reported that someone stole money out of his wallet, CD player, amps, subs and supplements out of his car during the night.

•Complainant reported a subject will not leave the trailer court. Complainant stated that he had delivered an eviction notice to subject in January. Deputy advised to go through the courts and get an eviction summons.

•Complainant reported that her ex-husband was kidnapping her children. Complainant stated that he will not let them come home. Deputy spoke with complainant.

•Complainant reported that there is a man by a red truck in the parking lot who is staggering around and throwing stuff out onto the parking lot. Deputy spoke with subject and he was fixing his truck and had not been drinking.

Feb. 13

•Complainant reported a resident passed away.

•Probation requested we arrest subject for violation of conditions of release.

•Complainant reported a lady from Spirit Lake left her purse at the gas station. Requested a deputy pick it up. Deputy retrieved the purse, contacted owner. She will pick it up this week.

•Complainant reported she was contacted by her bank and they said someone stole her debit card information and was trying to a buy a ticket out of the country. Had her speak with investigator.

•Complainant reported in for a change in POR registration.

Feb. 14

•Complainant on 91st St. reported his box and two others belonging to his neighbors were smashed sometime during the night.

•Dispatcher received a 911 hang up call. Sent deputy who found a child playing with the phone.

•Dispatcher received several 911 calls. Deputy reported that they were working on the elevator in the building and they will be back tomorrow. They were told to call in before beginning work.

•Complainant reported a man with a knife. Deputy transported subject to the ER for an evaluation.

•Complainant reported loud noise in the trailer park.

Feb. 15

•Complainant reported they have a dog bite victim in the ER.

•Complainant requested a welfare check on a woman whose 3-year-old daughter kept calling grandma and saying she can’t wake her mother up. Sent sheriff to check and the child was playing on the phone.

•Complainant reported they are at a mortgaged property cleaning it out.

•Complainant reported a theft of an iPad touch and money.

•Complainant reported her son was walking to a friend’s house and he was shot with an air soft gun in his face.

Feb. 16

•MHP requested assistance with a vehicle that would not stop on I-90. Squads assisted patrol in pursuit through Rock County.

•Complainant reported a disagreement between a man and a woman about splitting up property. Complainant requested the sheriff check it out.

•Complainant requested a deputy accompany her to pick up some personal items.

In addition, officers 3 motor vehicle accidents, 1 vehicle in ditch, 2 transports, 2 funeral escorts, 2 animal complaints, 1 paper service, 14 ambulance runs, 1 parking violation, 3 false alarms, 2 fingerprint requests, 7 log/alarm sheets, 15 portable breathalyzer tests, 5 permits to purchase/carry and issued 21 burn permits.
