The Hills-Beaver Creek boys ran into a hot-shooting Central Lyon basketball team Monday in Rock Rapids, Iowa.
The home-standing Lions converted an outstanding 69 percent of their field goals to set the stage for a 66-42 victory over the Patriots.
CL sported a 34-21 halftime lead before outscoring the Patriots 32-21 in the second half to prevail by 14 points.
Seth Nuffer (15 points and four rebounds), Dylan Gehrke (11 points and two steals), Jeff Sandbulte (10 points) and Jordan Larson (four assists) emerged as H-BC’s statistical leaders.
Devin Klarenbeek and Dalton Bass registered two steals each for H-BC.
The 4-10 Patriots host Adrian Thursday.
