Fall is in the air
Beautiful Labor Day weekend ends on rainy, blustery note

Rock County residents enjoyed a picture perfect holiday weekend Saturday and Sunday, with sunny skies, gentle breezes and highs in the 70s.

Labor Monday, however, was a sharp reminder that summer is nearly over and a change of seasons is underway. It was cold, dark, rainy and blustery for most of the day, with gusty winds continuing through the night and into Tuesday morning.

As Tuesday progressed, however, the sun came out and winds finally quieted for a relatively nice, fall-like day with highs in the upper 60s.

Troy Thone, Luverne's volunteer weather recorder recently shared his summary of August weather. Click here for that report.
