Sixth-graders tell second-grade stories

A group of Luverne sixth-grade students visited second-grade classrooms Friday afternoon to read stories they had written about their second-graders.

As part of their writing curriculum, sixth-graders were each assigned to a second-grader to write about. Second-graders were asked to fill out questionnaires about themselves, and the sixth-graders used that information to write short stories.

On Friday the older students presented their stories to second-graders.

The sixth-graders shared their stories with several second-grade students, so the ones pictured here aren’t necessarily reading to their assigned students.
