    The Farm Tractor and Machinery Show in Hills will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13. The show will feature 10 of the 20 Series John Deere tractors, which are row crop tractors from 1968 to 1975 and are owned by brothers Gene “Pucky” and Mike Sandager.     Work is progressing on the new Martin Township Maintenance Office Building located at the corner of 51st Street and 60th Avenue. Gawaine Diekevers, chairman of the township board, said that construction is scheduled for completion this fall. Dysthe Construction from Beaver Creek is doing the work. The old township building, located at South Water Avenue, will be sold.

    Alliance Communications representative Paul VanDeBerg presented a check for $5,500 to Hills-Beaver Creek Elementary Principal Jason Phelps on May 20.   The money will be used for the playground resurfacing project.     Martha Ingeborg Lunde Bakken, the oldest known resident in Rock County, died Thursday, May 28, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 104 years and 16 days.
