Greetings from the Tuff Memorial Home.
The residents of the Tuff Memorial Home would like to invite parents and their young children to Story Time from 10 to 10:30 a.m. each Friday during June and July. There is no cost, however adult supervision is required. Crafts and refreshments will be served. Contact the Activity Department at 962-3275 with any questions.
A birthday party was Wednesday afternoon for residents observing their birthdays during May. Residents who were honored included Lyla Harnack, Martha Bakken, Mina Sjaarda, Jeanne Van Malsen, Cliff Anderson and Charlie Steffen. Jack Williamson of Flandreu, South Dakota, sang and played guitar. Following the program cake pops and ice cream were served.
Memorial services for Henrietta Wassenaar and Lucille Eads were on Thursday.  
Residents enjoyed the beautiful weather Thursday afternoon on the patio reminiscing.
Bernie Top, 88, a resident of Tuff since January 2015 died Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Funeral services were Friday, May 29, at the Christian Reformed Church in Luverne.
Martha Bakken, 104, a resident of Tuff since 2011 died Thursday, May 28, 2015. Funeral services were Monday, June 1, at the Palisades Lutheran Church, rural Garretson, South Dakota. Our sincere sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Martha.
We would like to welcome two new residents to Tuff, Deb Slegers and Henrietta Haak.
Congratulations to Samantha and Joel Koedam on the birth of their daughter, Kamara Lea, Tuesday, May 19, 2015. The baby weighed 8 pounds and was 21 inches long. Samantha is employed as an RN at the Tuff Home.

Ole had trouble putting “Happy Birthday” on a cake. His main problem was getting the cake in the typewriter.
