Local bike riders were treated to some bike safety tips Saturday, May 16, at the Beaver Creek Bike Rodeo at the elementary school.
Prizes were given to each rider that signed up for the rodeo. The Luverne Optimist Club member Keith Aanenson has been offering the bike rodeo in Beaver Creek for the past seven years to educate kids on bike safety.
Cliff Boom, Optimist Club member, also assisted, and Ken Petersen of Ken’s Bike Shop was there to help make minor adjustments to bikes.
Two bikes were given as prizes, and the winners were Henri Merson and Ava Steinhoff.
Aanenson also visited the elementary school and spoke to kindergartners through second-graders about bike safety.
