‘Angel Fund’ helps overdue school lunch accounts
Food service employees at Luverne Public Schools are hosting a spaghetti supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, in the Luverne Elementary School commons.
Proceeds from the freewill donation will go toward the “Angel Fund,” to assist families with negative school breakfast and lunch accounts.
Volunteers will serve the privately purchased and donated food items.
The event occurs prior to the 7:30 p.m. band concert in the high school gym.

Classic ‘Nutcracker Ballet’ film shown free at History Center
The History Center in Luverne will share two free showings of the classic ‘Nutcracker Ballet’ at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15. Residents, families and visitors are encouraged to enjoy the film and refreshments, pose for photos with the nutcracker photo board and enjoy the History Center spirit of the holidays. The event is free of charge.
