Springwater Township Board monthly meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at the home of clerk Teresa Kramer.

Women’s Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 8 p.m. Mondays in the United Methodist Church basement. Use the east entrance.

Luverne Township Board meets at 9 a.m. the second Wednesday of every month in the Rock County Community Library.
Mound Township Board meets at 7:30 p.m. the second Monday each month at the Rock County Highway Building, Luverne.

Wood sculpture exhibit June 30 through Aug. 19
Self-taught sculptor Fred Cogelow will have his work on exhibit at the Brandenburg Gallery at 213 East Luverne Street in Luverne from now until Aug. 19. An artist reception is planned for 2-5 p.m. Sunday, July 17.
Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 507-283-1884 with questions.
 
DNR Blue Mounds hike July 2
Fred Harris and Jeff LeClaire of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources invite the public for a morning hike at Blue Mounds State Park at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2. Participants will learn about the rocks, plants and animals that call the prairie landscape home. The group will meet at the State Park Interpretive Center.

Davis Lake Triathlon July 4
Registration is now open for the Davis Lake Triathlon July 4. The event will include a 9 a.m. mini race. The full race starts at 10 a.m. and will include kayaking, bike riding and running. The race can be run individually or in teams of 2-3.
To register stop by the Chamber or online visit www.allsportcentral.com. Registration for the mini race is $15, and the Davis Lake Triathlon will be $20.
Registration includes race entry, a T-shirt, food and a beverage after the race.

Bank Nite movie ‘Back to the Future’ at Palace July 7
The free Bank Nite movie, “Back to the Future,” rated PG, will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at the Palace Theatre in Luverne.
Sponsored by First Farmers & Merchants National Bank and Papik Motors, a free, family-friendly movie is shown on the first Thursday of every month as it was done for “Bank Nite” in the 1930s. A cash prize drawing will follow the movie. Must be present to win.
 
Luverne Area Aquatics and Fitness to host focus groups July 13 and July 20
Luverne Area Aquatics and Fitness will host focus groups for public participation from 10-11 a.m. and 7-8 p.m. July 13 and July 20 in the Luverne Public School Elementary Commons.
The goal of these sessions is to receive input on appropriate programs and uses that could feasibly be provided at the Luverne Area Aquatics and Fitness Center.
Public input will be a vital aspect of planning an expansion and remodel project at the facility.
 
Wienerman World Championships July 14
Registration is now open for the Wienerman World Championships to be held on July 14. Participants can register for this eating competition at www.allsportcentral.com. New this year are the one person solo division and the half-protion team division.
