Help others struggling with coronavirus challenges
In response to residents and organizations overwhelmed by challenges related to the coronavirus, the Luverne Area Chamber is lining up volunteers to shop and/or deliver for those individuals who are unable to leave their homes.
The intent is to coordinate this as a service to residents supporting our local businesses. A protocol will minimize contact between volunteers and people requesting services. To join the list of volunteers, call the Chamber at (507)-283-4061.
Free food April 16
New Life Celebration Church will offer free food at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at the Generations building at 319 E. Lincoln, Luverne.
Because of the coronavirus, a few changes need to be followed:
Those in vehicles are to drive to the double glass doors on the WEST SIDE of the building. Volunteers will load your groceries. STAY IN YOUR CARS.
Those who are walking are to go to the EAST SIDE of the building. Volunteers will have your groceries pre-packed for you to pick up.
