Master Gardeners Tour June 10
The Rock County Master Gardeners annual garden tour will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 10, at the Harold and Mary Tilstra farm. South Dakota Department of Agriculture forestry specialist and SDSU professor John Ball will offer expert information on trees and shrubs that grow well in southwest Minnesota. Cost is $10 if paid by June 7, otherwise $15.

Farm to Table event June 11
The Luverne Area Community Foundation and the Rock County Corn and Soybean Growers will host a Farm to Table event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at Grand Prairie Events. Tickets are available at the Foundation office at 102 E. Main Street west of the Palace Theatre. The $40 cost includes the meal and two locally featured drinks (beer or wine). Proceeds support the LACF grant fund.
St. John Lutheran celebrates 125 years Sunday
St. John Lutheran Church will be celebrating their 125th Anniversary at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 11. Join us this weekend for Heritage weekend and drive your tractor to the church service. There will be many older tractors for the public to see. Ice cream will be served after the service by Loren Forrest.
Hardwick’s Zion Lutheran celebrates 125 years Sunday
Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hardwick, will be commemorating their 125th Anniversary with a special worship service at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 11. The Rev. Donald Andrix, who served the congregation from 1984-1989, will be the guest preacher. A brunch will follow the service in the Fellowhsip Hall. Everyone is welcome.

St. Catherine’s, Luverne, and St. Mary’s, Ellsworth, will host Jess Riemer, a staff lawyer from the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, to present “Busting Immigration Myths.” The event begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church Gathering Space.
