With 2020 knocking on the door of the New Year, I usually fill the space this time of the year with my resolutions. I haven’t had great success fulfilling my resolutions, so this year I am going to take a slightly different approach.
I have come up with what I am calling my Luverne Bucket List. Simply put, the aforementioned bucket list includes thing I would like to do in 2020 right here in Luverne.
I’ll start the list with relatively easy tasks and then work up to the more time-consuming items.
First on the list will be to wash a load of clothes at the Laundry Room Laundromat.
Second will be to get at least one haircut in a minimum of five different salons in Luverne throughout the year.
Third is to actually swim in The Lake.
Fourth on the list will be to attend a school board meeting.
Number five is to attend at least one of these three events: a Cardinal girls’ basketball game, a Cardinal wrestling meet or a Cardinal gymnastics meet.
Sixth on the list is to go to a movie at the Palace Theatre.
Number seven is to drink a glass of clean water at Blue Mounds State Park.
The eighth entry on my Bucket List you might find a little out of my character, and I am willing to bet not many of you have ever done this one. If you look at our church page in today’s paper, you’ll notice that there are 12 Luverne churches listed on the page. I plan to attend at least one Sunday service (weddings and funerals don’t count) in each of those churches over the next 12 months.
