Lars went to the lumberyard to buy some lumber." May I help you?" asked the salesman.
"Yah, sure, you betcha," replied Lars. "I vould like to buy some 2x4s."
"How long do you want them?"
"Oh, I vant dem for a long time," Lars answered. "I am building a house."
Many children's stories from years ago began with, "Once upon a time ..." and ended with  "And they lived happily ever after." While the stories in between those lines were varied, they were often about a prince who found his true love, rescued her and brought her back to his kingdom.
The Bible tells us that our Prince, our true love, will rescue us and bring us back with Him to His kingdom. Jesus says that He is preparing a place for us. "In My Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also." John 14:2-3 ESV 
He's getting a home ready for us — and not just a house that will last a long time. He is preparing a place for us where we can live "happily ever after" forever.
Dear Lord, You are the master builder of our lives and our eternity. You are our true love and rescuing Prince. Thank You for preparing a place for us. It will be wonderful living "happily ever after" with You. In Jesus' name we pray, A
