As Christians we set some high standards for ourselves. We want to do good and to show love to others. This isn't some idea that we've thought up ourselves. It's what God wants us to do. “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:11, 19
When we live our lives and do our work for Him, He promises us an amazing outcome. He says that when we are gathered in His name, He will be present in the midst of us.
Gracious God, here we are gathered in Your name. Thank You, Lord, for being with us. We can help others feel loved, because You first loved us and gave us great value through Your Son. Please fill our hearts and lives with Your peace. Amen.
